37 Weeks!

I am hoping to God that my greatest fear does not come true! Rob left today and won't be back until Monday late in the afternoon. His only request was to keep the baby in there until he gets home. Well now I'm so worried about going into labor I'm afraid I'm going to stress the baby right out of me! So gone for 7 day then home for 6 and then gone for another 7! ekk

Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day was a great day! I'm going to be 9 months this Friday and it has been so nice here in Prescott Valley. Stella and I have been sitting by the pool for the past 3 days waiting for daddy to get home! Yes I said it Stella is the name we are going with! And if you don't like it too bad we are not changing it, we already have stuff with her name on it! (That is a hint for the family members that can not hide there dislike of the names we picked out!)
We are about 30 days away hopefully sooner to seeing her and Rob and I can't not wait any longer! Our hospital bag is pack and we have almost everything for the baby! I'm sure Rob will be making a run to the store for anything we completely forgot but we are feeling good!
Here are a few of the last photos of me being pregnant! So enjoy!

All the girls enjoying the wonderful pool!

Good News!

I am eight months today and only 7 weeks to go. On Wednesday January 20th we had our check up and ultrasound. We found out a lot of good news! Even though my belly is large and in charge, it is right on track! Even though I believe it to be bigger than the average belly, I guess I'm mistaken! Also the baby is looking healthy; heartbeat is strong, 4 pounds and growing. However her head is measuring more mature than the rest of her body. Leaving me with two forms of thought. 1: She is already to smart for her own good and will surpass Rob and I by the age of 9. or 2: She is going to be one big baby!
More good news! No C-section! Feelings are a little mixed about that. The positive side of the c-section was that Rob and I would have got to meet her 3 weeks early. We would have been able to pack our bag and go to the appointment. Everything planned, nice and neat. But apparently God wants me to work for our little miracle! So we are planning on inducing March 15th that is if she does not come any earlier!
Ok now to the bad news. We were allowed to bring a CD and a DVR so we could get a copy of all the pictures and a DVD of the ultrasound. The DVD works, don't know how to upload it but I will keep trying to figure it out. The lady doing the ultrasound didn't copy the pictures to the CD. So no pictures for this update! Sorry

Holidays and 7th Month Doctor's appointment!

It has been a busy month with Rob on the road every other weekend and the two holidays. For the lack of weight I have gain since the pregnancy first started has officially been made up for this last month! At least I'm hoping it the pregnancy, not the average Joe's holiday cookie weight gain!

Thanksgiving:
We celebrated the day before. Which anyone who lives the hockey life knows that sometimes holidays get celebrated either days or a week before the holidays. A group of us had dinner at the Bartalones. Marieanna who is an amazing cook made ham and turkey and everyone who came brought a side dish. Rob got to enjoy our favorite wine Seven Deadly Zins as I got to drink sparkling grape juice! Baby Lehtinen loved the sparkling grape juice. She moved like there was no tomorrow! The day of Thanksgiving Rob and I made King Crab legs and played golf. Rob dominated me winning by at least 80 points! Game is still under investigation!

Christmas:
We started off the Christmas hockey break with an ugly Christmas sweater party. December 20th (Picture to follow) It took place in the lobby of our apartment complex and of course Rob's outfit was one of the best! After that we took it easy. Just hung around PV and watch Christmas movies. We had to celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve since Rob was leaving at 4:00 am Christmas morning. The day started with brunch at the coaches house! Caroline made amazing food that I need to get recipes for! After that came home and started cooking Christmas dinner. We had a roast with traditional holiday sides. The ichated with my sister and parents after dinner as they watched us open our gifts. It was a very successful Christmas. The baby girl isn't even here yet and made out like a little bandit. Auntie Dani, Uncle Ryan and cousin Teagan got her a car seat with car seat toys and bottles. The Gardners got her a bottle cleaner, small bottles and extra nipples. Grammy and Grampy got us a heart listen machine. This way we can hear her heart beat anytime we want.

7th month Doctor's appointment:
We have had three appointments here and Rob finally got to meet our doctor. He really likes him. The fact that the doctor and his son are Sundog fans had no influence on Rob's decision I'm sure. :) The Doctor likes the shape of my belly and said my glucose test was very good. It came back at a 98. Also my blood pressure is nice a low which is also good! She has been moving a lot and is getting strong enough to push out. Making is obvious she is moving. During the appointment Rob and I got to feel her butt mean she is head down! Lets hope she stays that way. Next appointment is January 20th. This appointment will determine if we need to have a c-section the beginning of March or let nature take its course. This ultrasound comes with a DVD of her and a CD of pictures of her. So next entry will have a lot of look at! After the appointment Rob and I were excited and feeling unprepared. So we went and bought her bassinet. A nice little pack n' play.

Here are the ugly Christmas outfits Rob and I came up with for the party! I decorated Rob's vest with jewels and present tags! These outfits came from the thrift store!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Years!

Today was an awesome day! December 5th 2009 the girls through Nell and I a wonderful Baby Shower! It took place at Katie Readers (also know has the Lappy Bat Cave: long story). Katie made Sloppy Joe's accompanied by a delicious spread with cookies, shrimp spread, deviled eggs (fantastic job Kristin), cake, brownies and veggies. The pictures are of the wonderful gifts the girls made/got for our little girl:

It is kind of hard to see but these are homemade booties. Made by Marianna Bartolone, she is one of those amazing women who can made anything and knit amazing sweaters. She also made a little hair tie. It is clipped to the white envelope.

The Monkey onesie and the Calvin Klein 3 piece outfit was a gift from The Pietroniro's. Caroline and three younger boys came.

This beautiful blanket was a gift from Linda Fagemo.

This gift was from Laura and Chris Markey. If you are trying to guess what the green card with a picture of a pregnant women on it. They are skin colored sticky' the prevent the belly button from sticking out!
This cute pink bunny outfit with H&M onesies! Which I did not know they had a baby section!! Was a gift from Nada Potvin.
Now this beautiful running Nike suit and rattle was from the Hostess herself Katie Reeder. Who I might add is pregnant with her second child!! We have our finger's crossed for a little girl!

Now here we have an amazing diaper cake!!! This cake was a gift from Kristin Slahor, Erin Nevius, Sanne Fald and Nicki Orona. This gift is complete with diapers, bottles, nookies, blankets and car seat toy!

Thank you to all the girls it truly was a special day!!!

I'm going to start this one by saying we are OK!!! I was going to wait until tomorrow to update since the girls are throwing Nell and I a baby shower but a rough morning changed that. I woke up with a bad leg crap. In one of my books it tells you place your foot on a cold surface to help flatten the foot to relieve the crap. Our bathroom is about 3 feet from my side of the bed. I made it to the cold surface and started to push the foot down. (This next part happened really fast so if it reads jumbled well it is because it was.) All of a sudden I got an increase of pain in the crap and it through me back. I grabbed the jam of the door to stop the fall and swung backwards. I tried to hit the top of my back to protect my lower back. I started falling tried to grab anything on the way down to help me. Ended up taking out my night stand and by lower back took out the plugs in the outlet breaking the outlet slamming hard onto my butt.
Called the Doctors to see what to do. I had pressure in my lower abdomen and she wasn't moving. So they wanted me come in and put me on a fetal monitoring machine. I was out the door in 5 minutes and on my way. The hospital is about a 20 minute drive and was not a stress free ride. After finding the Labor and Delivery (didn't really know where to go, never been there before) the nurse hooked me up to the monitor. It took a little bit to find the heartbeat. She started to tell me that since I am only 25 weeks the monitor might not be able to pick the heartbeat up. At first I thought she was just saying that to keep me calm but then we heard the heartbeat. At first the monitor said the baby was in distress and heartbeat was really fast but after awhile we both calmed down.
I was there for 2o minutes when I hear a familiar voice saying I'm here for my friend, she fell. I was so overwhelmed I started to tear up again. Nell came to keep me company and to see if I was okay. It was awesome to have her there. I can't even begin to express how grateful I am and how to say Thank You to Nell for being there. After another 15 to 20 minutes I was release with instructions to come back if and gave me list of number of things. So now I have planned to lay on the couch drink lots of liquids and wait for her to move for me!

Wednesday, December 2, 2009

Well as of today I am 24 weeks and 4 days so a little over 6 months. Only 15 more weeks!!! I have been wait to blog after my doctors appointment that way I would have more to tell you about. Before I get into the appointment 2 days ago the little one had the hiccups. It was the strangest feel so far. It lasted about 10 minutes and by the end of it I started feeling sick! Rob also got to feel her for the second time the night before the team departed for a 7 day road trip. We are coming along on names nothing is set in stone and won't be until we meet her but the contenting names are Kiera and Mela. Still holding out for Scarlett but I'm starting to think it is just going to be a pipe dream of mine!

As far as the appointment went a lot of information was covered. We have only gained 1 lbs since my last appointment putting the total gain to 8.5 lbs but I guess we are not worried. Or I'm total not to worry. Apparently I could be one of those people who gain everything in the last month. The Doctor told me I have to give a genetics Thank You to my parents. Since I do not have any stretch marks yet and apparently won't be getting any due to genetics. We have planned on doing another ultrasound at 32 weeks to see if everything has worked itself out. Desi is more than likely going to kill me for saying this but my Doctor today said that if everything is going good and she has not come natural before week 39. He will induce the Monday of week 39. That way we know for a fact Rob is in town!

Up coming events are the glucose test Dec. 21st and next appointment is Dec. 30th at the Prescott office. Which Nell tells me is a lot nicer than the Prescott Valley office. As requested by Desi and I promised Kim awhile ago and sorry for not delivering earlier. A reluctant Angela is posting a belly picture! It was taking not even 40 minutes ago by Nell. This is me at 6 months!
